Golfbaan: Adamstal Franz Wittmann

It takes three essential ingredients to make a fabulous golf course. A spectacular environment - as well as the challenging multi-faceted hills in the Lower Austrian Alpine foothills. The right golf architect - such as the creative Canadian Jeff Howes, the right hand of Jack Nicklaus. And an ambitious driving force behind the project - like Franz Wittmann, the former Austrian world-class rally driver. He was well-known during his sporting career for leaving nothing to chance, and that's why the result stands alone: The Golfclub Adamstal is one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe, with a great design and always immaculately maintained.

The game with air and light
Guests of the Golfclub Adamstal have the choice between the 18-hole "Championship Course" and the 9-hole "Course Wallerbach" . But all 27 holes have character: Long after a round you can remember the individual fairways - not only because each bears a name. Designer Jeff Howes managed to cleverly integrate streams and terrain, clearings and rock formations into the scenery. The varied alpine upland naturally determines the rhythm of the fairways and green landscapes. No surprise, then, that the Golfclub Adamstal, a member of the Leading Golf Courses Austria , has already been voted Austria's Golf Course of the Year five times by a jury of experts.

And then the reward
After the last putt, something special comes into play at the Golfclub Adamstal: the elegantly cozy clubhouse with its fabulous gastronomy and its guest rooms. What could be better than having a look around on the comfortable terrace, in the winter garden or in the cozy guest room?
